Depression Alliance Cymru - Working for people affected by depression in Wales

Making a donation to Depression Alliance Cymru

Depression Alliance Cymru receives only limited government funding.  On 1 April 2005 we became an independent charity, which means that now, more than ever, we need your support.  The best way that you can support us is either through making a donation or by becoming a member.

Every membership fee and donation, no matter how small, will help us to continue to provide information and support to the 250,000 people experiencing depression in Wales and their families and friends, and to ensure that our projects, services and self-help group network can continue.  Regular committed support allows us to plan for the future so that we can spend our time directly helping people rather than raising funds just to be here.

Another way you can support us is through organising a fundraising event.  These events as well as providing a valuable source of funds can often be very successful awareness raising events, helping to dispel the myths about depression.  We will be adding a fundraising pack to this website soon.

But it's not just about funding!  DACymru wants to see good mental health prioritised and promoted.  We want the reality of depression to be understood; we want people to be able to manage their depression and to recover; and we want to prevent others from ever having to experience this debilitating condition.  We know that these goals are achievable and you can help us to achieve them.  Every voice that is added to ours and every additional member that we have means that we can speak louder and louder and demand that the voices of people affected by depression be listened to.
